Tapio Wirkkala Workshop for children, 2005
Wirkkala and Nokia "Discover beauty!"
During the exhibition of Finnish design legend Tapio Wirkkala in October 2005 Martin Bricelj and Davor Bauk carried out a thematic workshop for children. Forty children participated in the workshops, which were organised with the help of Teleray d.o.o., the distributor of Nokia in Slovenia.
During digital photography workshop, the park in front of Fužine Castle and the banks of the Ljubljanica were the creative ground for a quest for similar motifs: the shape or structure of tree leaves and plants (as a pendant to Wirkkala’s wooden objects), the structure of tree bark, the shimmer on the surface of the river, a water current moving in concentric circles resembling glass objects, etc. Another result of the workshop was the images of images: photographs that the children took of their own drawings.
